Cutting's English tour cut short
Queensland fast bowler Ben Cutting has been forced to leave Australia A's tour of England with what is believed to be a back injury.
The 25-year-old sat out Australia A's three-day tour match with Derbyshire that ended in a draw on Sunday.
He confirmed his departure via Twitter this morning (AEST), stating: "En route to Heathrow for a QF home to Brisbane. Tour over."
The injury blow follows a 2011-12 season of mixed fortunes for the right-armer, who was named 12th man in Australia’s 1st Test against New Zealand, only to suffer a groin injury soon after that sidelined him for six weeks.
Despite the setback, Cutting was still crowned Ian Healy Medallist as the Queensland Bulls' best player after snaring 36 wickets at 18.75 and making 322 runs at 29.29.
