GamePlan is the Australian Cricketers' Association's wellbeing and education program.
Member Wellbeing and Education Program
In the 2017 MOU the players set aside $13.4 million to enhance their own wellbeing structures. What has emanated from this investment has been genuine engagement on establishing a program that the players themselves have helped create.
GamePlan provides a tailored approach to member wellbeing based on the different stage of career a player is at; whether at the early, middle or later stages.
GamePlan is supported by 14 Player Development Managers across the country who provide a tailored approach to each individual’s needs across the pillars of; MyWellbeing, MyEducation and MyCareer.

Member Wellbeing & Education
MyEducation
The ACA through GamePlan makes a significant commitment to subsidies players’ development through the provision of grants. Eligible members can apply annually for a grant of up to $4000 to be used towards professional development and formalised learning (subject to grant guidelines).
MyWellbeing
The ACA provides free access to qualified psychologist's and psychiatrists through the national wellbeing network for current and recently off-contract ACA members (and for 3 years beyond their contract).
MyCareer
Each player is encouraged to consider their future beyond cricket by working with their PDM on an annual Individual Development Plan (IDP). The IDP guides a player through a process to identify their priority for development.
GamePlan is important because it’s so beneficial for our careers. There’s been so much research put into looking after your life outside of cricket and the benefits that has on your game. GamePlan is just another aspect of that, which will further enhance our ability to perform our best on the field and off the field.

GamePlan Next
The ACA provides ongoing support for players as they transition out of cricket into life outside of sport. Players work with the Transition Manager to create an individual plan to help support them outside of the elite environment. The Players can access this service for 3 years post State contract or one-year post W/BBL.
