ACA MEMBER/PLAYER DATA

ACA, a not-for-profit organisation, collects data on its present and past members (and other past and present cricketers who are eligible for membership of the ACA) to maintain contact with them and enable the facilitation of programs which will assist its members.

It is ACA's policy not to disclose this data to external organisations other than for the operation and management of the activities of ACA, and the provision of programs and services to the members, such as the management and delivery of the CA/ACA Professional Development Program, or with the consent of the relevant individual. ACA may provide information to external providers for the purpose of delivering communications on behalf of the ACA.
Information collected by ACA is stored on the ACA database and ACA takes reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access, use or modification to the information. Some of this information is held by, and may be transferred to, the ACA's web provider for the purpose of enabling members to access and update their personal information.
All staff members with access to the information are obliged to keep that information confidential.

PLAYER AGENTS

The ACA collects information from individuals who are, or apply to be, Accredited Agents, under the ACA Player Agent Accreditation Scheme (Scheme). This information is collected for the purposes of administering the Scheme and the ACA Player Agent Scheme Regulations (Regulations), maintaining and improving the quality of representation of Australian professional cricketers by player agents and enabling the ACA and third parties to make and maintain contact with player agents in a business context for the purposes of engaging them in dealings on behalf of cricketers.

This information may be provided by the ACA to the members of the Accreditation Board and Appeals Committee under the Regulations for the purposes of undertaking their functions under the Regulations. The information may also be disclosed where required by law.

The following information may also be openly published by the ACA or provided to third parties, including members of the public: an individual's full name, any business name, the identity of an individual's employer, address of the individual's principal place of business, business contact details, particulars of any disciplinary or other action taken against by the individual pursuant to the Regulations by the Accreditation Board, Appeals Committee or the ACA and names of past or present cricketers represented by an individual.

The ACA may also disclose an individual's name and personal details to Cricket Australia for the purposes of enabling it to enforce the confidentiality undertaking required under the application form for the Scheme.

If the information required by the Application Form is not provided, the ACA, the Accreditation Board or the Appeals Committee may decline to consider the application.

Outside of the Scheme, the ACA also collects data on the player agents who represent ACA members. This information includes contact addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, fax numbers, employment histories and general client lists. It is ACA's policy to disclose contact phone (including mobile phone) and fax numbers and postal/street and email addresses of player agents/managers on the ACA's website, to Cricket Australia, State Cricket Associations and Big Bash League Teams and to the general public through phone and email enquiries regarding commercial opportunities.
