Across September and October, the ACA put on five of six annual Health Check days.
The Health Checks are an incredibly important service, that have so far taken place in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria for this years checks.
These days provide a great opportunity for the ACA to connect with the Members that attend. 203 Members were provided with a quick and easy appointment, which involve a number of core services, including a general health appraisal and a thorough skin check.
In Victoria, demand exceeded the daily capacity, so an additional half day was added to ensure more ACA members were able to access the service.
At the SA Health Check, we caught up with past player and ACA Member Lauren Ebsary, who is also the Cricket Operations and Player Relations Senior Manager at the ACA.
Lauren said, “The Health Checks have always been a good opportunity to come in and connect with past players, catch up in the hallway and reconnect, but also an opportunity to put your health first and make sure there hasn’t been any change in your body, your eyesight or anything else.
“The heart checks are fantastic and the bloods too. It’s great just to have a reminder and we’re very thankful the ACA provides this opportunity”.
We encourage those who missed the Health Check Day in their state to make use of the Regional Skin Check reimbursement. For more information please contact acagrants@auscricket.com.au
