ACA extends partnership with Kaplan Australia

11 November, 2021

The ACA is proud of its partnership with Kaplan Australia – which enables cricketers to pursue formal education qualifications through Kaplan Business School and Kaplan Professional – now in its second year.

Seven members – a range of state and international cricketers – are about to undertake a Master of Business Administration with Kaplan Business School.

ACA General Manager – Player Development and Wellbeing Justine Whipper said the Kaplan partnership is wonderful for the players as it provides them with a flexible and fully online program.

“The program can work in with their cricket commitments and still provide the benefit of connecting with a global community of learners outside of cricket.

“While the players are achieving their career goals on the field, it helps them to prepare for their next career goal through a seamless and supported pathway.”

ACA General Manager – The Cricketers’ Brand Tim Cruickshank said Kaplan has provided great opportunity to those players looking to focus on their education whilst still chasing their cricketing dream.

“The ACA are excited to be extending the partnership with Kaplan into a second year. Kaplan’s flexible and supportive education model is exactly what players need whilst still playing cricket at the highest level.”

Kaplan Australia Managing Director Rob Regan said the partnership with the ACA continued to go from strength to strength.

“This year’s cohort of scholarship recipients are extremely deserving. I applaud them for taking the initiative to further themselves away from the game with a view to their next career.

“Kaplan looks forward to supporting all of them to achieve their education goals.”

The players beginning their degree this year are:

  • Sam Whiteman
  • Ashton Turner
  • Will Bosisto
  • Jason Behrendorff
  • Sean Abbott
  • Usman Khawaja
  • Nick Winter

They join nine players who commenced qualifications with Kaplan Business School and Kaplan Professional last year.

Kaplan Business School is a globally recognised provider of higher education degrees in Australia and offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in business, accounting, marketing, management, tourism, entrepreneurship, health services, digital management, analytics, project management and leadership.
