ACA statement on WNCL rescheduling

10 March, 2022

The ACA commends the players, Cricket Australia, Cricket ACT and the States for their flexibility and commitment in rescheduling WNCL matches from Sydney to Canberra to provide the best opportunity for games to be played while grounds are impacted by flooding.

As someone who grew up on the far north coast of New South Wales and still have family in the area, I’d also like to convey the thoughts of all our players to those impacted by the floods, including the families of Grace Parsons, Carly Fuller and Georgia Redmayne who are from Lismore and surrounds.

Members of the Queensland and South Australia’s WNCL teams are raising funds for Foodbank Australia’s Queensland Flood Emergency Appeal.

Foodbank Queensland, NSW and ACT have launched flood appeals to help support affected communities and charities through the recovery period.
