ACA statement regarding allegations made during the SCG Test Match

The ACA supports the urgent and thorough investigation into any and all allegations of racism and abuse and commends the prompt investigative response to the concerns expressed by Indian players during the SCG Test Match.

There is no room for discrimination of any kind in sport or in society, nor for abuse, and the ACA supports the rights of all players from all countries to be treated with respect and dignity. Our members have made their views on racism plain in a series of public statements and educational videos, including those recently made available through the Reflect Forward campaign.

The ACA also acknowledges the fundamental importance of procedural fairness and natural justice whilst these matters are being investigated.
