Giving back to the game: ACA Game Development Program returns for 2020-21

13 August, 2020

Established in 2013/14, the Australian Cricketers' Association's Game Development Program harnesses the skills and experience of past playing members to help inspire people to play and stay in the game.

Now in its seventh season, the ACA Game Development Program has administered more than 3,000 appearances where ACA members have been invited to share their knowledge and passion through clinics, as well as coaching and playing opportunities, at grassroots or community cricket.

The two key initiatives of the ACA Game Development Program are:

  • To provide past players with opportunities, to remain or continue to inspire younger generations of cricketers, and
  • To help achieve fundamental grassroots goals and strategies throughout Australia through cricket.

Funded and supported through the generosity of the current playing group, the Game Development Program owes its success to the ACA members whose endless passion for the game of cricket provides an extra platform for those at grassroots and pathway cricket levels.

Each year ACA Past Player Members are invited to register to become an ACA Game Development Coach. These are paid appearances.
