Strong ACA Involvement at World Cricket Connects Event

30 June, 2025

On the weekend prior to the recent World Test Championship Final, the annual World Cricket Connects event was held at Lords, which brought a large number of cricket’s key stakeholders together to discuss the future of cricket.

There was a strong ACA contingent involved in the conference, with CEO Paul Marsh presenting with Tom Moffat on the World Cricketers Association’s Protecting History, Embracing Change Report, as well as Lisa Sthalekar, Mel Jones, Pat Cummins and Ellyse Perry playing key roles across the two-day conference.

Key topics covered included the state of the global game, Cricket for Social Impact, the commercial opportunity of sustainability, women’s Cricket and franchise Cricket.

ACA CEO Paul Marsh said he enjoyed the conference, and it was great to have a number of key stakeholders together to discuss and debate the future of the game:

“Having just come back into cricket, the conference was an excellent opportunity to learn about some of the current challenges facing the game as well as to spend time with many of the game’s key stakeholders.

"I thought the MCC did an outstanding job in bringing the cricket world together and I was buoyed by the response our presentation of the WCA Report received. When so many key stakeholders spend time together discussing the future of the game, it can’t be anything other than positive and that was definitely my experience.”
