The ACA welcomes today’s announcement of the WBBL and BBL schedules, and is pleased that during an uncertain period, a full summer of international and domestic cricket has been confirmed.

ACA General Manager Cricket Operations and Player Relations Brendan Drew acknowledged Cricket Australia on developing the W/BBL schedule.

“The players are excited that the WBBL will deliver a full 59 game season, with more broadcast games, building upon the momentum of the highly successful T20 World Cup and WBBL05," Drew said.

“And while our position on the length of the BBL season and its ability to attract the world’s best players is well known, we appreciate the challenges faced by CA in developing a schedule which satisfies all stakeholders in these extraordinary circumstances.

“Although scheduling is a matter for Cricket Australia, as partners in the game, we look forward to working through any scheduling challenges throughout the summer with them."
